‘Major Leap Forward’ for Wind Energy

Engineers at West Texas A&M University’s Alternative Energy Institute and the U.S. Department of Agriculture facility in Bushland have received approval on two small wind turbines from the Small Wind Certification Council (SWCC). The third-party approval from the SWCC is another step in building credibility for the system and making it competitive with other small wind turbines. This is especially important as a growing number of people are investing in turbines for residential use.
